Establishment of a company-wide digital system landscape in record time

Together with DATA MART Consulting, we were able to activate the first release of our new cloud-based analytical platform within just a few weeks, digitizing our entire construction process and digitally interlinking all process steps.

Our distinctive service portfolio ranges from area analysis, planning, construction management and documentation through to laying the connections directly into the building (network level 4).

As a rule, the project starts with a survey and analysis of the respective expansion area. Based on the information obtained, Fiber Experts draws up a detailed network and cost plan, obtains all the necessary permits and finally handles the entire construction process – including civil engineering and, if necessary, indoor cabling. Last but not least, we ensure continuous transparency during the construction process through seamless live documentation.

Previously, process data was mainly recorded and evaluated using Excel lists, whereby the initial data is often extremely dynamic. During the course of the project, for example, gaps in the construction site may be closed or a certain area may have been rezoned in the municipality’s land use plan in the meantime. In addition, the variety of different information sources, including demand data from the commissioning telecommunications company as well as our own project management and construction planning systems, posed a growing challenge when dealing with the data in Excel.

In order to better manage the diversity and dynamics of our underlying (reporting) data, we needed an analytical data platform that would be developed into a comprehensive digital system landscape in the future. With DATA MART Consulting, Fiber Experts has a competent and agile partner at its side for this project.

Up and running solution after just a few weeks

“We are currently working simultaneously on various software projects to drive forward digitalization in our company on a broad front,” says CEO Raimund Winkler about Fiber Experts’ current strategic focus.
